Today, we are looking at a smart wall from a company called Egood Partition. We are in a large hotel's meeting center. We see a very big room. Workers are easily pushing the Egood Partition walls. A few minutes later, this big room becomes three separate, smaller meeting rooms. The walls are closed tightly together. People talking in one room cannot be heard by people outside.
This kind of moving wall, made by Egood Partition, looks simple. It is just a few panels. But you might not know that this wall has many smart and important parts inside. These small parts work together. They make the wall move, block sound, and become very strong. Today, let's look closely at what is inside an Egood Partition wall.
First, we look up at the ceiling. You will see a metal track. This part is called the track. It is the skeleton for the whole wall. It is installed very securely into the steel structure of the ceiling. It is very strong because it must hold the weight of all the wall panels below. An Egood Partition wall can be very heavy, so the quality of this track must be very good.
How do the wall panels move on the track? The answer is a part called a hanging roller. Each wall panel has hanging rollers at the top. This roller is like a small train, and the track is the railroad. A worker gives a light push, and the roller moves very smoothly inside the track. Egood Partition designs its hanging rollers to be very smart. They can not only go straight but also turn easily at track intersections or corners.
The roller is not directly on the wall panel. It connects to a part called a roller seat. This roller seat is like a connector. One end holds the roller, and the other end holds the wall panel tightly. It transfers all the weight of the panel to the roller. So, it must also be very strong.
Now, the wall panel has been pushed to the right place. But it is still shaking a little. There is a gap between its top and the ceiling. There is also a gap between its bottom and the floor. At this moment, the most important parts in the Egood Partition system start to work.
A worker takes out something that looks like a crank handle. This tool is called the crank handle. He puts the handle into a small hole on the side of the panel. This hole connects to a retractable mechanism inside the panel. This mechanism has springs and gears. It is a small machine.
When the worker turns the handle, this small machine starts to work. It pushes out two long strips at the top and bottom of the panel. These strips are called the top and bottom pressure seals. The top seal pushes hard against the ceiling track. The bottom seal presses hard on the floor. In that instant, the shaking panel becomes completely fixed. It cannot move at all, just like a real, solid wall.
Let's look at the body of an Egood Partition panel. Its frame is made of a special aluminum alloy. This aluminum alloy frame is very hard and also very light. It protects the edges of the panel, so it does not get damaged easily. Also, this aluminum alloy does not rust easily.
The middle of the panel is its core. On the outside is the baseboard, which we can see. This board can be made from many different materials. This allows the wall panel to match many different decoration styles.
Inside the baseboard is the key to blocking sound. There are several layers of acoustic insulation cotton and mat. These materials are soft and have many small holes. When sound tries to pass through the wall, its energy is used up in these materials. In the end, very little sound can get to the other side.
Now, one wall panel is fixed and soundproof. But a wall is made of many panels put together. There are also gaps between the panels. How does Egood Partition seal these gaps?
There are two smart parts here. The first is the magnetic strip sealer. On the side of each panel, there is a sealing strip with magnets. When two panels come close, the magnets attract each other and pull them tightly together. This seals most of the gap.
The second is the vertical seal. This is a special type of rubber strip. After the magnets pull the panels together, these rubber strips are squeezed and become even tighter. It fills in the tiny gaps that the magnets did not completely seal. This way, there is a double seal between the panels.
This is how Egood Partition combines all these parts. A simple-looking wall becomes a powerful tool for dividing space. It moves on a track on the ceiling. It uses a machine inside to become fixed and sealed. It uses special materials in its belly to block sound. Every single part has its own important job.
