You have a new movable wall. It works great. To keep it working great for many years, you just need to do a few simple things. Taking care of your partition is easy.
First, keep the track on the ceiling clean. Over time, dust and dirt can fall into the track. This can make the panels harder to slide. Once a month, just use a cloth to wipe the inside of the track. Make sure there is no dirt blocking the wheels.
Second, look at the seals. These are the soft rubber parts at the top and bottom of the wall. They are very important for blocking sound. Check them to see if they have any cracks or have become hard. When you close the wall, make sure the seals press firmly against the floor and ceiling.
Third, always operate the wall gently. Do not push or pull it with great force. The panels are designed to glide smoothly. If you have to force it, something might be wrong. When you lock the panel in place with the handle, turn it smoothly until it stops. Don't try to turn it further.
Finally, know when to ask for help. If the wall becomes very difficult to move, or if it makes a loud grinding noise, stop using it. If you see that a part is broken or bent, it is time to call a professional service company. Trying to fix a serious problem yourself can make it worse.
