There are two main types of temporary movable wall dividers: sliding and sliding-up. Sliding dividers feature pulleys at the base, guided by trough-type rails embedded in both the ceiling and floor, ideal for heavy-duty applications. Conversely, sliding-up dividers employ sets of pulleys at the top of each partition, enabling smooth movement along tracks. Options such as L-shaped, T-shaped, or cross-shaped rails allow partitions to change direction, dividing expansive spaces into smaller, versatile areas.

Operable by hand or powered mechanisms based on weight and width, these partitions can be stacked to the sides or stored when not in use. Their ability to create smaller indoor spaces significantly reduces central air conditioning energy consumption.
